This November, during Adoption and Permanency Awareness Month, I was pleased to table a petition on behalf of Canadians from across the country calling on the Liberal Government to provide the royal recommendation needed to pass my private members bill, C-318.
This bill gives adoptive and intended parents equal access to leave through the EI program and gives these families the time they need and deserve to attach.
It’s time the Liberals stop breaking their promise to these families.
